An environmental, social and governance (ESG) professional, Breyten is currently the Managing Director of KT Environmental and Energy. He is a thought leader and trusted expert in the field of environmental sustainability. His insightful contributions were featured in the 2016 Standard Bank Report to Society. In 2017, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange’s (JSE) Down to Earth magazine also featured him in relation to environmental sustainability matters. He was invited to share his invaluable knowledge by presenting at a National Business Initiative (NBI) event. The NBI is a coalition of South African and multinational businesses working towards sustainable growth and development.

He:
Holds a BSc in Microbiology, a BSc Honours in Applied Science: Environmental Technology, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Law.
Is a registered Professional Natural Scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP).
Has extensive expertise and experience in carbon accounting, corporate sustainability and ESG, climate change, environmental risk management, environmental law, and compliance.
